Kindergarten in Botanical Garden

Groups of preserved trees rise through an accessible roof, giving children a "multi-layered forest experience" and easy contact with nature. A flat fabric-like roof is hoisted at the corners and pressed down around the trees, then lifted in places to draw light and air into the classrooms.

Indoor and outdoor rooms — atrium, plantation, playgrounds and animal-observation theater — let children watch and tend plants and small animals, so an immersive nature education quietly teaches the principles of the ecosystem.
