Fairfield Inn by Marriott
97-key hotel interiors, through 90% brand review and now under construction, expected to complete in July.
This 97-key Fairfield Inn by Marriott project was developed within the framework of brand standards, while remaining centered on the actual guest experience. Rather than applying the standards as a fixed template, the design works through the given room modules, public-area programs, and construction constraints to reorganize materials, furniture, lighting, and circulation. The goal was to create a balanced interior system that brings together efficiency, comfort, and brand identity.
As the lead designer and drawing lead, I developed the design concept into a coordinated interior package. In the guestrooms, the design focused on the relationship between the headboard wall, wardrobe, desk, luggage bench, seating, fabrics, window treatments, and lighting. Through careful coordination of proportion, material, and detail, the rooms were shaped to feel clean, warm, and consistent. In the public areas, the design placed greater emphasis on arrival, pause, and social interaction, allowing the lobby, breakfast area, meeting room, and fitness space to share a unified material language while supporting different patterns of use.
Throughout the project, I produced the BIM model, plans and elevations, FF&E integration, brand submittal package, and public-area renderings, while coordinating material confirmations, shop drawing reviews, and site feedback. The project has completed the 90% brand submittal stage and has advanced from documentation into on-site construction, with completion expected in July. For me, the project was not only about delivering a hotel interior package, but about translating brand, experience, construction, and operational needs into a spatial system that can be built, used, and sustained.
